Dr Skiba W' Bal Complex DataField

Yes, mine values r 295/21000. It remains the default 380/19600, it looks the Edge 1K has internal issues with it as i know it's under investigation by Garmin already

I have the same issue with the Edge 520. All software is up-to-date. I cannot change the CP and W'bal from the default setting on the device, no matter how many times I change them on Garmin connect and sync with the device.

I've been using the app ofr a week now and have to say it's great. I'm an avid user of Golden Cheetah and appreciate how my W' varies through analysing power files. However when comparing the levels of W' I deplete to during a session to afetrwards in Golden Cheetah there is a discrepancy. I believe the Garmin app isn't refilling my W' quick enough. My Tau value in GC is 300s. How do I change this in the app so it matches my GC?

Hi,

In Golden Cheetah you can set two different algorithm for behavior W 'Bal: Difeential (proposal Froncioni/Clark) and Integral (proposal Skiba)

You have to have configured Intregal to match the App. The TAU value calculate with the ryde and do not be said that you can set in the GC :(

Set w'bal=12500J and CP=245 in app and short test in trainer.

I used only 80% of w'bal and restored to 99% in end session.

You application show me: i used 125% (-25% balance) and restored only to 40% balance w'bal.

You have configured GC with "Integral" W'Bal formule calculation? this is in athlete configuration

W' Bal - simple data field

Hi,

I just found your app for the simple data field and installed it tio my Edge 1000. I like this function a lot. Two comments though:

- the two parameters CP/W' work are shown in the data field with a lot of decimals like this: 250.000000W-16000.000000J

- the first recording resulted in a .FIT file that will not import to Strava or GoldenCheetah (truncation error). It might be related to the .FIT recording just added in V2.0

Am I better off using the Complex DataField app ?
