  • Hi Hannes. I uninstalled the app and uninstalled Garmin Express and then reinstalled both and it seems to have done the trick. Many thanks for your help, it's a great app and I look forward to using it many times this summer in South Africa.
    Best, Gareth
  • Glad it worked and that you find it useful - note some of the settings have moved to the "Garmin Connect" phone app under device/Connect IQ Apps/Applications/Race Countdown and go into settings. H
  • I have stepped back the version to 1.64 as some users were getting an IQ error on startup after installing version 2. Anyone getting the IQ error please install this version. I will leave this up for 1 week and then be updating again. Sorry for the inconvenience but I can't reproduce the error even after downgrading and upgrading the App on my own watch with different setting set. Thanks H
  • - Added TOD to CountDown Screen while counting down
    - Added Rolling count to CountDown Screen
    - Hopefully fixed the IQ error some people were getting on startup after updating.

The reason for the IQ error after upgrading was I had the setting/properties stored in an enum and when I edited this to add properties for the next version the setting a user had from a previous version were still pointing to the old order, thus giving wrong some setting values/types.

  • Hi, here is my feedback: I have the fenix5. I installed the app this evening. It was OK as I was able to start and stop the countdown. I updated it because I changed one setting (name of activity) and it then displayed the IQ error logo. After deletion and reinstall it works now and I won't update it as the default settings are fine for me.
  • There are reports that the app does not work on the forerunner 230 and Vivoactive 3. When I test on the simulator it will work just fine. Has anyone with these models installed the app and does it work? Let us know thanks.
  • I updated the App to 2.12 - it should now work on Vivoactive 3. A user reported that they made an hard reset (hold the button for 15' until the watch went off). Let us know if it is working.
    Thanks,

    Hello.

With Vivoactive HR works ok the time and one screen, but the second one with the Display 2 (Current Speed (Knts/System Default) and Bearing (Degs) or Best Speed over 500m)

doesnt work. You can not change the page. (And if possible should be with the buttons, when you are sailing is wet and usually doesnt work.)

This could be the perfect app for sailing

I have installed your app on my Vivoactive3 and like it very much. There is a strange thing however with the distance to line calculation. It seems that the app calculates the distance to the starboard mark if my position is to the right from this mark and calculates the distance to the port mark if my position is to the left from it. This is one usual way to do the calculation, so it is ok. If I'm anywhere between the the two marks however the perpendicular distance to the line should be calculated (positive if below and negative if above the line) . Unfortunately the app in this case shows zero (and sometimes some random positive) distance.
  • I have the same issue as bonagabor has got with the distance to the line.
