Watchface: Digital for TactixD and Digital for TactixD v2 Beta

Idea behind this face is that the best face is the one which is set exactly as i want it.

Q&A:

Why there are so many settings available? It is hard to navigate through them:
Sending watchface user defined parameters such as color, font and screen placement through app settings seems to be the only available option at this moment. Amount of settings is a tax for having many objects available. During time i've found out  there are also problems and limitations coming with amount of settings, therefore version 2 is being in development where at least some of the fields configuration will be simplified.

Why are my settings changes not reflected on WatchFace ?
It seems this issue is tied to Garmin CIQ app which is not able handle huge amount of settings properly. When settings are done through Android/iOS Garmin Mobile app all should work as expected.

Will be there Weather details available ?
Yes, weather is in progress and will be included in v2 version. Currently testing various weather providers APIs and fighting with best details visualization on the screen.

Why is my language not supported i see only squares instead of characters ?
During short life time of this face 26 custom fonts have been already requested and implemented. Fonts consume a lot of available resources, therefore characters are limited to the absolute minimum => english characters and numbers only. Languages with 'special' characters such as czech, russian, japanese etc. cannot be supported until more resources will be available to watch faces. Toggle button "Force English Day/Month Name" to force most exposed fields to english has been implemented instead.

Will more features be implemented ?
Yes, i am adding more features based on incoming requests. Priority is usually set by amount of requests.

    Charmed with watchface you developed, really its what I was looking for.Heart eyes

    Experimenting with different settings on my Fenix 7 Pro I've found couple sort of bugs:

    1. Clock leading zero - Don't Show -> Disabled setting leads to watchface total crash, default watchface fallbacks.
    2. ### SHOW WEATHER FORECAST DETAILS ### -> Current + Daily Forecast (or just Daily Forecast) doesn't show 3Tmp, 1Wnd and 2WDir   - just "-" signs; BUT at the same time screen mode with Weather Forecast has no gaps.man shrugging
    3. ### Watch Screen Mode ### -> Twice Wrist Twist Alter works very unstable. It switches but not by the twice wrist move and more caotic.

  • Hello, I had been using the watch face very happily on my Enduro 3 for almost a year I think and just recently moved to the stock watchface because this watchface used to give me a "waiting to connect to ConnectIQ" (paraphrasing, I don’t remember the exact error) error and I didn’t wanna deal with that on the trek.

    Now I want to have the watchface back on my watch and run it as my main, but I can’t seem to install it because the ConnectIQ app says this watchface is not compatible with my watch??

    Has there been an update from your side or Garmin's where compatibility has been compromised? Is there a fix for this?

    Please help, because this is the best watchface out there!

  • I'm very happy user of TactixD v2 watchface since I bought Garmin Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar watch. About 4 years ago. 
    During last few exercises my watch crashed lets say two times on hour, so I decided to do software update. Since than, watchface forces to show only 12h format of all times (clock, sunset, sunrise....) and cannot be changed. Firstly tried rebooting. No success.
    Than I decided to update TactixD watchface. Didn't solve a problem. Uninstalled it and reinstalled, no success either.
    The rest is excellent! Good work!

  • Ladies and gentlemen, due to too many changes done and further more planned for AMOLED version, i had to create new fork. release available here, if i did it correctly it will support both old and new watches:

    It is far from being at least as good as originally planned with many features disabled as i am still figuring out howto workaround the Garmin. However, works on amoleds and what may some appreciate, on the watch menu provides 4 slots to store your current settings which is partially  independent from Garmin solution and hopefully should not be wiped after new code releases for easier favorite setup restoral.

    Bug reports and whish list welcome. If you dont see app, wait or ask Garmin.

    Thank you very much. I’m currently using the Tactix 8 AMOLED, but the feature hasn’t appeared on my device yet. I’ll wait a little longer and see if it becomes available. Thank you again for your help.

    J'utilise actuellement ton cadran de montre Digital for TactixD V2 Beta sur ma Fenix 6X pro Solar Titane et cela fonctionne très bien, même si cela consomme pas mal de batterie. Je recharge ma montre tous les 6 jours en moyenne.

    J'ai un doute sur l'affichage des signes zodiaquaux. Aujourd'*** dimanche 21 juin 2026, jour du solstice d'été, il semble afficher le signe des Poissons. Je voudrais savoir s'il est possible d'avoir la liste des signes zodiaquaux affichés tels qu'ils doivent apparaîtres à l'écran ?

    Je poste mon cadran de montre actuel (désolé pour le reflet).
