When can I expect coupons to be made available so I can transition paid customers from the old platform to the new ? I made my request back on 8 August if memory serves correct and have not heard a thing.

Hi, yes ushers need to go through the purchase process and they enter the coupon at the checkout stage. A number of my users have complained about the process as they don't already have Garmin Pay accounts and were forced to enter the credit card details and create a Garmin Pay account to even access the checkout. For them, this meant they needed to give up their credit card details even though they had and probably never have any intention of purchasing from the app store again or using Garmin Pay.
I don't think they need to follow this full process? If they're on the app detail page in the ConnectIQ app, they can press the three dots above the hero image. There they can select to just inter the promo code.
In my case it took 2 weeks after writing an email to receive 10 promo codes. As all codes are unique, sending codes to 100 or even 1000 existing customers automatically, is not trivial. The process of generating promo codes needs to be automated.
No, just the code is not enough. You need to put in valid credit card credentials.
Thank you - that is very helpful. I had a user tell me that they went through this with another developer and that they had to use Garmin pay. I was certain they were wrong and we would never have to use Garmin pay, but just enter the coupon/token. So this is going to be upsetting for a number of my clients for sure
Does anyone have a good contact email for the Garmin team running the Merchant Account? I haven't gotten a single response to my emails requesting coupon status updates or posts here from Garmin. I'm running out of capacity in my current monetization account.
