makeWebRequest : permission required

Hi,

I searched through the forum and did not find a solution for this.

I'm trying to run my first makeWebRequest from a new watch face project.
I keep getting a Permission Required error at launch, despite the fact that Background and Communications ARE checked in my project settings.

I run my makeWebRequest from onUpdate just for now.

Running : Eclipse Neon.2 / SDK : 2.3.2 / Eclipse plugin up-to-date.

What am I missing here ?

You can only do comm like makeWebRequest from the background process in a watchface. You can't run it from the primary process. Are you set up for doing a background process? If not, here's a thread with a very simple example with the basics:
