No more SDK announcement since april 2024, when 7.2.0 / 7.3.0 / 7.4.0 are available, ok there is a readme file.

The last time, before new system release to Public, i saw Beta version for specific device models in the SDK Manager, but no one here (or new beta enrollment is needed ?)

When there is a new "System" level, there are a few things that happen. Beta FW starts getting released for devices, there's a beta SDK for the new system level, and usually a "preview" device for the new level so you can try things in the sim and you can also side load to devices that have the beta FW update. The beta SDK doesn't allow you to export/build iq files so you can't put stuff in the store. I've seen cases were there are a few beta SDKs before release and that can take some time.

Maybe things are a bit out of sync right now due to the holidays, and I wouldn't expect any news until after New Years.

This is also a good time to mention the

-disable-api-has-check-removal

compiler flag.

Since devices like the f8 will still be "System 7" when compiling, if you want to build a side load that uses some System 8 specific function, you want to use the flag, so a "has" is done at run time and not compile time.

In the settings for the Monkey C extensions, add it to Compiler Options

In each SDK is the readme file, and in the release notes for 7.1,0, there is a note this was added.

Add -disable-api-has-check-removal to keep run-time has checks on API symbols.

Some of us requested that there be a way to keep the run time has checks in the 7.0.0 beta SDKs, and a new system level was one of the cases where you really want the runtime check

Note that the correct spelling of the option is: —-disable-api-has-check-removal

There are two leading hypens, not one.

EDIT: actually I think I'm wrong and "-disable-api-has-check-removal" (single hyphen) works as expected. Did a couple of tests and both forms work (2 hypens and 1 hyphen). Sorry about that!
