System Error calling Storage.setValue() lastest FW on Venu 3 and FR 965

Anyone else seeing an uptick on System Error crashes on Venu 3, FR 265/295?

"normally" I only see these System Errors when a watch face is updated and the call stack is nonsensical but now I'm getting reports from users that their watch faces are crashing without updating and they need to restart the watches to clear the issue.

These "new" System Errors have a valid call stack and are always on a call Storage.setValue().

Users report that once this crash happens it affects other dev's watch faces and they have to restart the watch to clear the issue.

It seems that some low level Storage error happens causing this System Error crashes.

So far, I'm only seeing it on the Venu 3 and OLED Forerunners on the latest or fairly recent FWs.

Yep. Watch did an update on Tuesday and Thursday I started seeing IQ error that only goes away if I restart my watch.

I've just ahd a similar report, it also happens on F7 serie with new 18.14 update.

Looking in ERA, I am seeing similar things, but only on f6, f7, f7 Pro, epix and epix pro. No problems on venu or forerunner so far.

My first example is from July.

I have worked with one end user, and a re-start is not fixing his problem, so I think maybe he has a genuine issue with the storage since this is happening every time through re-starts and re-installs. No other symptoms reported after they hit this.

All the other reports I see in ERA could be similar though.

Do you only see "System Error"-s? I do see some "Unhandled Exception"-s in the Properties.setValue on these devices: Venu® Sq: 4.60, vívoactive® 5: 11.14. But I am not sure if it's related to what you're talking about here.

I mostly only use Properties to read the settings and don't change them via code. But could be similar behaviour indeed.

Are you doing the setValue in the main app or a background service?

How large is the data you are saving for a key?

How large is the total size of the Storage you are using for the app?

Is the user short on space in the file system?
