Sorry, this is an F6 device.
When they import the prg file on F6 into the /APPS folder and I connect the watch to the PC again, i can no longer see the prg file. The only way I can delete it from the watch is via GCM. Is it an innovation or a bug?
Ah, on f6 it's sometimes(?) moved to Garmin/Apps/Media and of course sometimes renamed to a random filename.prg
You CAN delete the file on f6. Look at the timestamp of the files, the latest one will be yours.
You also can delete it via Garmin Express, but not Garmin Connect, as there's a bug there: forums.garmin.com/.../bug-regression-can-t-delete-side-loaded-apps-from-connect-iq
Thanks for the advice, but the problem is that when I connect the watch to the PC, I don't see any files in the APPS folder, but they work on the watch. In the new SW, there are two folders for Backup and Restore, but there is nothing there either, so I don't understand where it is uploaded and migrated to?
Now I have looked through all the folders that are in my watch in the new SW (27) and there is not even a Media folder at all, and when I search for the prg file, I can't find anything. Does anyone have the same problem with the Fenix series?
Thanks

again:
you copy the {myapp}.prg file to either Garmin/Apps/ or Garmin/Apps/Media
when you disconnect the usb cable the watch does 2 things:
1. MAYBE renames {myapp},prg to {random}.prg
2. MAYBE moves it between the above 2 folders
Thus what I do is that before I copy the prg file to the watch I list both folders and save the contents, and then when I look for the renamed/moved file I compare the list to find the actual name. Other thing you can do is to look at the time of each file and the latest is your prg
I understand all that and that's exactly how I did it. when I disconnect the watch from the PC, my WF is loaded, but when I connect the watch to the PC and search all folders and by tags, there is nothing there, so I have nothing to search. Won't the PRG file type change to something else by chance???
Ah, your watch has music! Then as I wrote earlier in this thread, it's hidden. The only way you can remove it from the watch is from Garmin Express. You're also welcome to "up-vote" these bug-reports AND please also contact garmin customer support, report it to them (you can also send the link to the bug report) so they know it's not something that only bothers 1 user...
