epix2 pro black screen

has anybody noticed that with CIQ watchfaces epix2 pro goes black every now and then, and seems to go black also when returning from e.g. messages/notification and the timeout occures?
with a 5 button watch I can replicate the problem by pressing the light button, on/off a couple of times a little bit slower so that the flashlight will not activate. It's like the time just before the light comes on. Screen goes blank, don't know if it is framework related, a new version just arrived on my watch...

Probably you should "Contact Developer" of the watchface (in Connect IQ app on your phone, or on the app store website)

Do you have AOD on or off for General Use? Is is just your watch face or any one? Is this the first FW you have with CIQ 5.0.0/System 7?

I've done dozens of watchfaces and this happens on all of em, so I think the problem is somewhere deeper.

AOD on for general use. This happens more or less on all my watchfaces watchfaces. Yes first time with this framework and CIQ SDK 6.4.2

Sounds like a FW problem to me. There's also an odd case on the va5 with the firmware and watch faces (CIQ and native ones)

Check in "about" on your watch for the CIQ version. 5.0.0 is the new System 7 stuff. You won't see that in the sim.

apparently FR965 suffers of black screen also, hmmm... maybe I just follow up the situation, but it's kind of frustrating when the screen goes black after message arrives and when it disappears, and also suddenly if you press little too quick here and there...

Again, check the device forum as this could be a general issue with the firmware and also happens with the native stuff.

In my humble opinion you could check these things:

Find other developer's CIQ watchfaces and check if they have the same problem on the same device. If not then probably it's your bug (which also would explain why you see the same problem in all of your WF-es)

For example I use this one on fr965: https://apps.garmin.com/en-IL/apps/2d17e54d-e6ca-4ffb-a2cb-844762cfea8e If you see the same problem here then please reply with more detailed steps to reproduce (I tried the light button presses, it was OK IMHO, so if you do see the problem please send how the settings should be set up, and how fast I should click the light button) If it happens on your fr965 but not on mine then it's maybe a problem of your watch (thogh the chances of having the same problem on your fr965 and epix2 are slim)

In the sim, what do you see if you do "file>view screen heat map" while in low power mode, and letting it run the full 24hr test?

Just a guess, as you say this can happen a bit randomly, but could it be you are running into issues with something like the "no more than 10% of the pixels can be on" rule?
