Move Eclipse plugin to a new computer

Hello!

I've been working on my Connect IQ projects in Eclipse for a long time. I recently purchased a new computer and I want to transfer the Connect IQ plugin for Eclipse from the old computer to the new one. I know you can't install it from the Garmin servers, but perhaps I can still somehow transfer everything needed to function from my old computer?

I know this plugin is no longer supported by Garmin, but it is an important need for me right now.

I really hope that someone has experience that can help me in resolving this situation

What if you copy over the entire .eclipse, eclipse and .p2 folders in your home folder (%USERPROFILE% on Windows, ~ on Linux and macOS)? You could also copy over eclipse-workspace.

It's cross platform…

Thanks, man! I've seen this post and tried it with some more googling on this issue but had no luck. Doing exactly the steps but somewhy Connect IQ doesn't appear in Eclipse on my new PC. Looks like it doesn't see my dropins

It's cross platform software, everything has almost certainly got to be in the file system somewhere (as opposed to the Windows registry, for example.)

(I don't see anything relevant in %USERPROFILE%\AppData)

It’s pretty much all there in the accepted answer, except for the details of opening a folder on your computer (I assume you’re using Windows.).

1) On your old computer, open Windows/File Explorer

2) Click on the address bar, replace the current location with %USERPROFILE% and press Enter. This will take you to C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME

3) Copy the folders named .eclipse, eclipse, and .p2.

4) On your new computer, open your user profile folder using the same procedure as above, and copy the folders from step 3 over.
