suggestions for fixing stuff (commonly referred to as "complaining" here)
reasons problems will never be fixed (bingo card which consists of "it's always been this way", "nobody has ever complained…
As of Feb 27 10:00UTC this problem is not fixed yet.
I'm trying to upload an new beta app. In the Google Chrome inspector I see that the POST to:
apps.garmin.com/.../validate
returns: 500 Internal Server Error
New versions of applications have stopped uploading. I'm releasing updates to my watch faces for the FR165 series, but I can't upload them to the Connect IQ App Store. The loading wheel starts to rotate, then stops. The buttons to start uploading are made available again. Uploading does not occur.
I guess that every time a new device is released there is a peek of activity from the devs who add the new device to the manifest and release a new version. This might cause some delays in the process. Especially now with the new site design that seems to use CDN. I also noticed that things that were immediate 2 weeks ago (change a picture in the app description) now took a few minutes.
I am seeing similar. Anything over 5MB and it is difficult to upload. I get the message "Sorry, your message couldn’t be submitted because we’re having trouble communicating with our servers. Please try again later." Sometimes less than 5MB and it won't upload, or takes several tries.
I've bee trying for more than 1 hour in vain (15MB)
What I've been seeing is I have much better luck outside the normal workday in Kansas (US CT). as they may be doing work on the app store, servers, or something
I think it is a matter of size, I've been trying this morning from 00:00 to 01:00 Kansas time in vain (for the 12MB one), I've just tried for another (7MB) and yes, first attempt is ok, so just tried again right after with the 12MB which failed.
Yesterday I managed to post an OSM Like watch face with an iq file size of more than 60 megabytes. I think the problem is not the size, but the number of simultaneously uploaded files by different developers.
