hi mates,
I've just seen this "new device" in the SDK manager,
does anyone has any clue about it?

I believe it still has support for loading your own music on it. It just doesn't support music through CIQ.
where I work for example, wifi is forbidden (BT ok), related to radio frequency
Working around classified information, so whatever jobs require that, would typically not allow wifi enabled devices
There's also a Fenix 7 Pro Solar edition (no wifi), so there are two devices. An auto-migration was done for both.
All I've found is an option.in the Garmin store for "no wifi"
many thanks, did you receive both on the SDK manager? I only got the 7X Pro, not the 7 Pro
It seems those are not for everycountry (yet?): www.garmin.com/.../866191
The order you see in "edit products" is a bit confusing as the f7 Pro nowifi is before the fenix3, while the f7x pro nowifi is after the regular f7x pro
I see the same ordering in the sdkmanager>devices
So far the only differences I see in the sim is the nowifi devices don't support wifi.
I guess something went wrong on my side, I don't have any F7PROnowifi, I've checked line by line...
I also tried to type nowifi on edit product (and before check on the SDK manager)
maybe it was pulled for some reason
There was a hiccup in getting the 7 pro (no wifi) device released. It's now available through the SDK Manager.
Kyle.ConnectIQ I noticed that according to fenix7pronowifi/compiler.json, this device lacks support for the audioContentProvider app type. This is unsurprising as Wi-Fi is usually a prerequisite for music.
However, the the product page for "fēnix® 7 Pro – Solar Edition (No Wi-Fi®)" lists support for music storage and playback. I assume it's a mistake?

Ignoring the mismatch between the simulator and the product info pages, I'm more interested in why a version of Garmin's flagship wearable would be made without Wi-Fi? The MSRP is the same with/without Wi-Fi and both have 32GB so battery life can't be the driving factor (since you can just turn off Wi-Fi).
Yeah that's pretty weird. Maybe it's for people who think they're allergic to wi-fi (yet they're ok with bluetooth), or more likely, they have some work-related requirement that prevents them from wearing a wi-fi enabled device.
Clearly it's not for the usual market segmentation shenanigans, otherwise they'd give you a discount for opting out of wi-fi.

Most feature packed Garmin watch WITHOUT Wi-Fi
Looking over garmin spec sheets it’s difficult to get a definitive answer on which watches have Wi-Fi functionality. I believe the 735xt is the top model before you break into watches with Wi-Fi. I primarily am looking to use the watch as a heart rate monitor during training (mostly running) and as a monitor throughout the day.
Get what ever watch you want and simply don't turn on the wifi (that's what I did since I did not want wifi ether).
If I want to wear the watch continually I cannot have that capability in the watch.
Are you allowed to have Bluetooth? I know my husband can't have anything with Bluetooth, wifi, cell, USB, or any other connectivity at his office. Anything electronic has to be checked and manually approved if it doesn't have any connectivity. He just doesn't bother with having a watch at all...
