Exception Reporting Application on VS Code ?

I found a forum entry that indicates that there was an app called the "Exception Reporting Application". The description of this addition to the Eclipse environmet says "The ERA lets you see crashes logged on user's devices for the past 30 days, making it easier to identify issues and resolve them."

Is there a similar tool for VS Code ?

If there is any way for me to see crash data from a user's device without having to get the crash log from the device, that would be unbeliveably valuable.

It's the same tool in VS Code. You access it via the command palette (CTRL/CMD-SHIFT-P): "Monkey C: Open ERA Viewer"

Thanks very much.

I found the tool but it doesn't let me get through the "Add Developer" process.

I've entered my developer name as shown in the Developer Dashboard on Connect and I've selected my developer key file, but I repeatedly get "The developer was not found. Please check developer id."

Thoughts ?

You don't use your name - you use your ID.

Thanks Jim. That got me going.

Too bad the Developer field doesn't allow pasting the ID in, to avoid typing errors.

Something for the list of suggested improvements.

It's not something you do every day. I think I've only logged in one time - when ERA was first introduced,

Understood. Still, making that field, and the text fields in the reporting window so they support copy / paste should be a very easy thing. Not providing that functionality really makes no sense at all.

I joined ERA yesterday successfully and I was able to copy my developer ID from the chrome browser url and paste it into ERA developer ID field.

What system are you running on ?

I just tried it on Windows 11. There's no right-click menu for the developer ID field, but you can use CTRL-V to paste the contents of the clipboard. I assume that would be the case for any supported version of Windows, and probably other OSs as well.

In general, I feel like the usability of some of the CIQ developer desktop apps (ERA Viewer, monkeygraph, even the simulator) leaves a lot to be desired. In some cases it looks like they're using a very old Java UI framework.
