Is it possible to initialize a simulator with specific settings

As the title.

I notice each time the simulator resets its settings changed before when starting. e.g. activitity info settings.

If I want to use the current settings, I just don't close the sim and do a new "run". For some things, you may want to use "File>Kill App" in the sim, or for widgets make sure you close them with the back button.

Due to vscode bug,

The current SDK must be set to 4.0.6 or newer

I have been using a makefile to manage the different phases of development.

Each time I run "make run", the previous settings will be erased definitely.

Sounds like in your script you are starting the sim each time. Eclipse and VS Code "talk to" the sim, and can run things in the already running sim. What I described works fine in both Eclipse and VS Code, and these settings are preserved.

Why would one not use the latest stable sdk? Why do you need one before 4.0.6?

NO. NO. NO. NO. Garmin's Bug. I have been using the latest. But VSCODE sometimes cannot detect that correctly. Check this bug report forums.garmin.com/.../vscode-exension-cannot-detect-my-sdk-version-correctly
