My color options works on the simulator but not on watch when I uploaded it to the store.

If you are using the Connect IQ mobile app, try settings using Garmin Express on your pc or mac.

Also, after you update the store, give it a bit of time before you use it,  Maybe an hour if things don't seem to be working right.

I was using the mobile app.  I did not see anywhere in Garmin Express where I could change watch face settings. The only settings too me to my Garmin account settings.

Thank you for the link. So...that works...sometimes.  The first time changed nothing.  The second time worked (yay!) until  I used the mobile app to change an item and then the new stuff changed to their default settings.  When I went back to GE, it said it changed the background color.  I did as the wiki suggested and re-opened the settings to verify the information took, which it said it did.  When I un-docked my watch (Venu), it reverted again, this time before I tried to make any changes.

The inconsistency is making this harder.  I am not that advanced of a programmer, so I used the same formatting for all the items (except for the background color which I used and gave credit to the Garmin watch face settings example).

do you correctly load your changes in onSettingsChanged()? Also, are you using settings groups by any chance?

The last time I tried settings groups in my app they had a bug and didn't persist the settings...

I am not using groups, though I do update all of my settings in one function call.  The only oddity is the background color changing, and that was copied (and tweaked) from the Garmin example.  All of the first version changes are in this same call and they work.

I thought maybe I was running out of memory, but nope.

Partial update...I removed one of the options, created a new UUID and uploaded it as Beta and it all works.

Am I mis-interpreting my memory use?

Sometimes there is the conflict/bug on device when you read properties or change settings during onUpdate. Probably it's connected with performance (on sim it's ok because computer is fast).

I've seen your code (view onSettingsChanged() is never call) . You read properties every update and

- it cost a lot (10 reading about 1000ms in my case 10% onUpdate - wasting energy)

- in 99.99% unnecessary because user change it from time to time

So 

- avoid/never read properties in onUpdate

-.you can't read properties when AOD is on or in onPartialUpdate

- you should read properties to members/globals when

-- on start (initialise/onShow/etc.)

-- after system calls app.onSettingsChanged
