How to take screenshots with watch "frame" for the store

How do you create the screenshots for the store listing? I found how to create screenshots in the simulator > File > Save screen capture menu, but that only contains the "canvas". I'd like to have the watch around it, as it is in most of the screenshots I see in Connect IQ store.

  • I did have an Instinct2 user ask how to get the colors on their watch face (only 1) and I just replied it was a B+W device!  They replied with a "head slap" emoji....

  • Sounds like you keep eating meat in front of me although I am a vegetarian LOL

EDIT: Sounds like we keep eating meat in front of the vegetarian users.

The preview images for them should be specified IMO. Or some of them may think our apps run differently on their device rather than that in the preview images, which may cause misunderstanding.

Well, this feature is nice to have because there are lots of things more for CIQ to polish.

Some of us enjoy a little trolling :/

  • I got it. You mean me. Sorry, actually I wanna say the colorful images for most devices are just like meat for those B+W devices as vegetable. No Insulting. Don't mis-understand. ;(

Perhaps due to culture difference, the topic about carnism or vegetarianism is trolling. Or you mean my post is irrelated with the theme of this thread.

  • I agree, I tried to exploit colour on the Venu 2 Plus with its large display on my  first attempt with the SimpleClockGIntro watch face, to make it more easily readable and functional.

No, I meant the person you are responding to, actually. If you stick around for a while, you'll see a clear pattern of responses whenever anything is remotely controversial.

    "That's user error"

"Did you try downloading your devices and/or turning your computer, your phone, and your coffee machine off and on?"

"It's not a bug, but if it is a bug, it's not important. If it's important, I don't care about it anyway because it doesn't personally affect me"

"I don't care about problem X, because I always use workaround Y, since this has existed for the last Z years"

"Command-line tools and modern editors remind me of the 1880s. Everything old is new again! I personally can't get any work done unless I switch from keyboard to mouse and back again every 10 seconds."

"The documentation may be broken but that's ok because I can translate it in my head! Some of us are just special like that"

"I've never heard of that feature you're requesting, and besides, nobody has ever asked for it in the last 7 years. Don't hold your breath"

"Seems you are just here to complain!!!"

"Don't bother trying to write tools to improve CIQ or asking for improvements. It's just a waste of everyone's time"

  • You seem to love putting words in other people's mouths and take things completely out of context.
