Simulator: No settings file found for this app. This app may not have settings.

When trying to move away from Eclipse (Mac), I'd love to use the Settings editor within the Simulator. But when doing File > Edit Persistent Storage > Properties: I'm seeing this error: "No settings file found for this app. This app may not have settings." While it definitely has settings which work on the Eclipse settings editor.

Any clue what I'm missing here?

I was having the same issue last night and it fixed when I did File -> "Reset all app data" on the Simulator

Shut down the sim, then launch your app from Eclipse. There you can use the app settings editor. But you should also to change app settings from the sim.

Is this just one of your apps or all of them?

Yes I can use the Eclipse settings editor for sure, but as I hope to move away from Eclipse, it would be nice to have the settings working in the simulator.

I have this on all my apps, I always get that error when trying to open the settings in the simulator.

Do you see the same if you launch the sim from eclipse? You should be able to use app settings in the sim there too.

Is there anything in your projects, like a space in a path name?

Not that I'm aware of, I only use dashes - but I don't think that might be an issue? I'm wondering if other Mac users have the same? Or is it working for everyone else?

Apps with barrels work fine for me. Which SDK are you using?

Try deleting everything in your projects bin directory and building again,

Was on 4.0.7 but downloaded 4.0.9 and had the same issue there. The bin trick also did not work. So odd, no idea what could go wrong. Thanks for bringing all the ideas Jim! Really appreciate your help!
