Custom datafield crashes in certain activity profiles

Hello,

This is my first post at the forum, so if it is not at the proper location, please, let me know.

I've created a multiple datafield for Garmin Edge 530 and after some intensive test in beta version, i've finally published it (Bolet Power).

For testing purpose I created a specific activity profile in my device where I have been using the beta version. The "production" version still works on it, but if I try to include this same datafield in my MTB profile, it crashes. If I create a new profile based on that old MTB one, it works again.

I can use this woraround, but my concern is that anybody who downloads my datafield will discard it immediately if it does crash with their old activity profiles.

Any idea about what can be causing the error and how to solve it?

Some more info. The workaround of using an alternative profile also crashed after some minutes. It seems that there is some kind of inconsistency with some of the used parameters (that are only altitude, speed and cadence), but I can't understand why it doesn't happen in the "test profile".

When a CIQ app crashes you'll see details in garmin\apps\logs\ciq_log.yml

I'll take a look at those logs. Hope they can give some clue about what's happening.

They tell you where and why your app crashed. They are key to fixing things.

I was not able to find anything in the logs.

I believe my issue is related to some dust in previous activity profiles. If I include the DF to a profile that already existed or to a new one with the same name of one that already existed before, it crashes.

If I create a new profile with a new name, then everything is ok.

Really annoying...

Has anybody seen something like this before?

(In addition, it doesn't let me name a profile with certain names that already existed in the past but that do not exist now. For example, If I try to create a MTB profile it says it already exists although this profile was deleted)
