In the latest release, an error like 'failed to parse monkeyC IR' will be thrown when using 4.0.3 SDK to compile my project.
My app supports app like fr55, included only high version sdk, in which case I have to use a high version. But the error is always there. Therefore, I use vscode to write code and eclipse to compile and simulate. Eclipse is so cranky or clunky. I want to get rid of it soon
Hi li2niu🏃🏻, can you possibly share some sample Monkey C code that is causing the "failed to parse Monkey C IR" message? I would be happy to take a look. Until then, you should be able to turn off type checking in VSCode to avoid this message.
Hi Marianne,
your suggestion is quite useful. My project is able to compile after turning the type checking off. BTW, monkeyc really looks like typescript right now.
Thanks for your help.
Shouldn't you add on to this bug?

I opened it up a while ago and no one has voted on it or commented they saw it too so garmin may not be prioritizing it. If you can't create a small sample code project of the issue and you don't really care about your source code being secret the easiest thing to do is zip it up and send it to garmin [email protected]. Make sure to reference that bug
