Is it possible to pass values from Watch App to Watch Face?

Hello, I detect some times when my Watch App is running, collecting activity. Then I would like to show those values in my Watch Face, so I would like to pass those values from App to Face. I think it is not possible, because both compiled programs have different ID and App Properties or App Storage is bound to those IDs, invisible to other apps. Is there any way to do it?

There is no way to pass info between local apps on the watch.

The only way that might work would be if you could develop a common webservice that could be shared by both the app and watch face using a common user identifier to link the data between the two apps. That opens up a bunch of other challenges, such as GDPR, data update frequency, etc.

Brandon added it as a bug report a year or so back so you can vote on it, and in reality, I wouldn't expect it any time soon.

With System 6 devices, a device app can publish complications, and then the watch face can just subscribe to them. I've been doing that for the last few months.
