Time Simulation not available in Simulator

Hello,

I installed the SDK and the Eclipse Plugin on two PCs.

PC 1: In the Simulator, the menu item Simulation > Time Simulation is grayed out

PC 2: The menu item Time Simulation is available and works as expected

Has anyone an idea, why the menu item is not available on both PCs? Is there a dependency I missed when installing on PC1? Is there something I might installed wrong on PC 1?

I also discovered another difference:

My watchface project compiles without error on both PCs and runs in the simulator on both PCs. Although time updates on PC 2 while time is frozen to the start time on PC 1.

PC 1: If copied to my watch with the Eclipse menu item "Connect IQ > Build For Device Wizard" result in an app that is completely ignored by the watch

PC 2: Using "Build For Device Wizard" result in an app that is executed by the watch

The only obvious difference is, that PC 1 uses Eclipse Version Oxygen and the PC2 uses Ecplips Version Mars.
I use the same developer key for both PCs.

I hope someone has an idea what might cause the trouble on PC 1

Are you using the same app on both? Time Simulation is only available for watch faces - are they both watch faces. That could also explain why one sideload runs as you expect and the other doesn't

I coped the whole eclipse project from PC 1 to PC 2 so I expect them to build the same watch face.

I think I got it.

I copied the Eclipse project again from PC1 to PC2 and now it shows on PC2 the same problem as on PC1. After modifying the manifest.xml on PC2 the problem is solved and the project is again working on PC2

I still don't know what was wrong with the manifest.xml but I expect a character set issue that was solved by reading and saving the XML file with my XML editor.

@jim_m_58 Thank you for the help. The hint, that time simulation is only available for watch faces gave me the idea to re-check the manifest.xml
