Note! Venu SQ - requiresBurinInProtection=true

Like the venu, the venu sq requires burn in protection, so for "always on" watchfaces, in low power mode, there are things you must consider:

No more than 10% screen pixels can be on
No pixel can be on longer than 3 mins

You can see this in the sim if you test in low power mode, and there are things like the "heat map" to help.

I just wanted to mention it, as like the venu, it's not like other devices when it comes to low power. It also doesn't support "1hz" ( no calls to onPartialUpdate())

Battery wise, the more black on your screen, the better (unlike MIP devices)

Hi,

I am developing WF, this is ok in the simulator for Venu Sq.

Is it possible on the real device user gets CIQ error immediately when WF is run cos of my WF is not doing any special procedures to protect screen?

in the sim, toggle low power on and off. When you're in low power, the screen will blank fairy soon.

Ok, realised when switched to Low power mode in the simulator I got warning re screen protection. Thank you for pointing on it. Can it be a reason for CIQ error on the real device?

Doubtful. Unless you do something spec ail in low power.

finally got update from the end-user, he is reinstalled WF and now it works fine. So, going to think it was some random glitch during installation and it is not about code of WF.

But any case, thanks to this case and for your post I realised possibility to do screen protection for Venu family.

Had the user changed settings while the watch face was running? That causes a rise in peak memory. Have you tried that in the sim?

upsss, didn't ask it and ...shame on me I have no idea how to change settings in the sim? and I have no real Venu Sq to try on device.
