Question on Monkey C

I got a Garmin Venu a couple of months ago. I am wanting to make my own watch faces. Nothing fancy or super complicated. I'm frustrated with the selection in Connect IQ gallery. I am coming from Fitbit and the Fitface platform for designing Fitbit watch faces. Basically I don't need to know coding. I just have a few basic coding lines for what I wanted to put in the watch face and it had a WYSIWYG web editor. I have a few questions on creating a Garmin watch face.

Is there a place where one can learn Monkey C and get help learning it from those that are knowledgeable?

Is there a way to have a simple template set up so I am going in and only changing background, positioning of steps, hr, floors, date, current temp etc This way I can easily change a few things and not everything? This way I can save lines of code and just add what I need to change things a bit for the background I'm using.

I have everything I need installed, and know how to call up the basic watch face with settings. But that's as far as I got.

As far as getting help, this is the place. As far as samples, there are some in the SDK, and in eclipse, under File>New>Connect IQ project is a simple template.

Depending on what you want, there is also "face-it" where you can build your own WF (it's available in the Connect IQ app)

Thanks so much for your quick reply! I will check out the link that you gave. I have tried the face it app through connect but they give limited stats. I want to see HR, Steps, Date, Day of the Week, Floors, Battery %, Current Temp, Messages Count, Bluetooth Connection Status. If Face It would have those options available, then I would probably use Face It. But the app is very limited, so this forces me to try to make my own. Unfortunately Garmin does not have an app like Fitface to easily create your own through an editor. I find it odd that every other make of fitness watch does except Garmin. So ideally I'd like to create some sort of template where all that info is set up in the project already. All I have to do is go in and change locations of those items on the face, color, and background.

But more seriously, this the the place to ask and search for previous questions. Also worth looking at the faces that are sharing their code. Probably a good starting point and hopefully you can find something that is close to what you are looking for. The top of the discussion section will contain links to those.
