Error: Symbol Not Found Error / Details: Failed invoking <symbol> / Stack: ?

hi, i had an problem since the last sdk update (i think so) with my watchface.

In my Connect IQ Device Simulator it works very fine. So I've update the Watchface on my Vivoactive 3. After 5 seconds the watchface changes to the Garmin-standard watchface.

If I start the Run No Evil Test - I got these errors:

Error: Symbol Not Found Error
Details: Failed invoking <symbol>
Stack:
Building project for 'vivoactive3mlte'... SUCCESS.
Running tests as 'vivoactive3mlte'.
Executing tests for entire project.

So I don't know what can i do?

If it crashes on your watch, what's in the garmin/apps/logs/ciq_log.xml file? If you're testing a sideload, you what to have "build release version" unchecked in the build for device wizard so you get debug symbols in the ciq_log file.

On the Device - there is only a CIQ_LOG.YML it contains:

But what does it mean or better where is the problem?

That option "build release version" is unchecked.

But I'm testing with -> Run as -> Connect IQ APP and to upload the Watchface I use the Export Wizard

That is indicating a version from the store and not a side load. Delete the app from the watch and do a new sideload.

(store version and the file name are a sign)

Those are from sideloads. When you use the "build for device wizard" make sure you uncheck "build release version" so you'll include debug symbols. You'll get better details in the log file.

I have a similar output to:

I got a log file from someone who downloaded the app from the CIQ store.

I don't have the watch model that has the bug. Is there nothing I can do with this in the dev environment to troubleshoot?

Do you see anything in ERA?

What's the stack trace look like?

If you just have pc: values, you can decode those.

Very cool. But when I select Connect IQ -> Start ERA from the Eclipse menu nothing happens. No new window, no error is displayed, nothing.
