Is this watch face edit even possible? (Tides)

Hi,

First post here for me. I would like to buy a Garmin watch but I need it to show the local ocean tide on the watch face. There is such a watch face that I love the look of (TidalFace) but the date font is too small for my old eyes. I asked the developer for his code so I could try to change the date font size, but unfortunately he said "no". So I thought I would try to learn how to make a watch face myself. Could somebody please point me to some code for a watch face that shows the tide so that I can try to edit it to make it work for me? And is that even possible?

In the case of Tidal Face, it uses worldtides to get the info, and gets it by way of a background process in the watch face.

Also, if Tidal Face is difficult for you to read, have you checked out widgets that show tides? Hermo's got one of those too: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/9f2b795f-7587-45bd-aded-b5a816198d37

and there are others.

How easy things are to read could vary based on the specific watch you use as some of the fonts vary. (Hermo's probably using a native font for the dates)

Garmin s offer a “tides” app that should run on most devices. That could be an easier way to access the info you are looking for.

Thanks Jim. I have seen the tide widgets yes. That would be my fall back option, but I would prefer to see the tide on my watch face so that it mimics what my current Rip Curl surf watch does. Can you believe I'm too lazy to want to press a button to see the tides?

Also I think it would be a fenix 5 that I would buy. I don't have a problem reading the time or tide on Hermo's TidalFace, it's just that it would be nice if the date could be bigger. I would love it if I could shrink the size of the time to make a little bit more room to increase the size of the date font.
