Garminhub IQ store alternative

This may be a way to find interesting stuff - https://garminhub.com/en/about.  Perhaps it will take off.

At the moment its search seems pretty basic and similar to IQ store, but it may evolve to screen out slop better and allow much more granular searches - something beyond basic keyword matches.

  • looks like a vibecoded slop, sorry

  • Almost certainly vibecoded, what new website isn't.  I don't care, but was hoping they may add some proper search and filter capabilities which are sorely lacking in Garmin IQ store which is a mess.

1] Filter by number of app/faces a developer has (min/max)
2] Initial creation AND most recent update date ranges (from/to)
3] Number of reviews as a percent of downloads (more than 1% is probably fake)
4] Min/max number of reviews or downloads
5] Search app description as well as title for keywords
6] Min and max average rating
    7] Probably many others

The current IQ store is pretty much pointless now as a developer unless you are writing stuff for yourself or advertising to a niche audience somewhere else or playing the game spamming it with 1000s of AI slop.

  • Number of reviews as a percent of downloads (more than 1% is probably fake)

Maybe. But some apps push a review request to the user which does significantly increase the legit reviews

Also even if all these filters would be possible it still wouldn't change anything for the average user who only sees the first 3 apps in each category

  • Sure, most users (and Garmin) don't care, but as a user and dev the current store is rubbish and decent filters would go a long way which I hoped a third party may have a go at.  I would like to be able to find cool stuff which I'm sure must be buried there.  I write free stuff mainly for myself, but do get pleasure from others finding it useful.
