Rucking is like hiking but it’s not. You’re choosing to ruck with an intentionally weighted backpack, or rucksack or just plain, ruck. It’s weighted endurance training that is not limited to trails.

I agree that rucking with backpack weight addition would be great, but since we don't have it i did a totally back-of-the-envelop comparison using a treadmill and power walking the same workout pattern…
Agreed, please add Rucking Garmin!
second this! I am hiking the Grand Canyon and doing other overnight backpacking trips. There is no way to add pack weight to an activity. If anyone has an idea I’d love to hear it. I’m also not sure…
I agree!!
ruck running I need!
I wouldn't count on Garmin to add it to older models. They need reasons for people to buy new models. Instead I am using the Rucking Calories data field app.
Is there a publicly available example code or algorithm to calculate the effect of additional weight (aka backpack) carried?
Have you tried the Rucking for Everyone app, available on the Venu 2?
I noticed that after completing a walk or hike, once the activity syncs, you can go back, edit it, and change the Activity Type to Rucking. At that point, it prompts you to enter your backpack weight before saving. It would be great if you could select Rucking as the activity type from the start and input your weight beforehand—but this workaround does function well. Just wanted to point it out.
Yeah, but that's off-topic here, as no CIQ app can do that currently, so you'll have to ask Garmin to add rucking to older watches
