Create a new custom training plan?

I'd like to be able to create my own training plan instead of using one in the existing library. I can't find any mention of being able to do this...either in the web UI(no "create new training plan" feature), or in GTC, or by uploading some text version of a training plan. Have I just not found the right solution, or does this functionality simply not exist yet?

Right now I'm manually creating the individual workouts and adding them to the calendar, but this solution can't take advantage of modifying them as a group(shifting the entire schedule) or visually grouping them together(they look just like other workouts in the calendar view). Would be nice to be able to share the entire plan with the community as well.

    +1 although other requests (like equipment tracker) are more important to me ..

    Agreed! I would cancel my training peaks membership if I could plan my workouts in Garmin Connect. I love the reporting tools but it's way too tedious to be keeping two workout tools up to date.

    I am going to go ahead and assume this answer is "no" at the moment :) I was just googling how to import as well. Has Garmin chimed in at all? Yes, Please for this function!!!

    Agreed. However, I found a solution which is a bit roundabout but works almost perfectly.

    In two steps:
    Step 1: Select a training plan on Garmin Connect
    Step 2: Open your Calendar on Garmin Connect and edit workouts from the plan you've just selected one by one.

    You can virtually overwrite anything about the workouts, essentially creating your own!

    Agreed, +1 up vote, we need this, its not enough to just track what you did, we need to plan what we will be doing. Seems pretty basic to me.

    Would love to have this so I could enter a string programs from my coach, I often reuse a block of training (with slight editing) and it would really help to have it setup as a plan so I can drop it onto the calander quickly instead of one session as a time

    any chance garmin is listening ????? :(
    I did email garmin support but they just redirected my to these forums
