text message notifications not coming through after iOS 13 update

Just updated my software to iOS 13.0 and now my FR635 will not alert me of text notifications. When I receive a text my FR635 does not buzz or even show that I have a notification. When I receive notifications from other apps (twitter, groupme, etc) my FR635 will not buzz but with show them on my notifications widget. The only thing my FR635 will do still is buzz for incoming calls. 

I saw other people with similar problems and tried going to settings -> notifications -> connect -> show previews -> always, but this did nothing for me. I still do not get notifications for texts at all or any vibrations for all other notifications (besides phone calls). I have phone notification alerts set to vibration for both during an activity and not during an activity through the Garmin app.

    I did do the notifications thing and it did work.  My thing is I did not have to that before the update!!!  I do not like getting my text on my phone where they can be read by other people!!  Is anyone else like this!

    Same here! I have a vivoactive and nothing is fixing the problem . Garmin, please assist!

    I have a VivoHR and I’m not receiving msg or phone call notifications on it anymore. I have been into settings and show preview was set to always. Tried toggling on off etc but still nothing since I upgraded to IOS 13.1.1  it’s very frustrating 

    hope someone has a solution soon

    Mine seem to be working now on fenix 5 plus. Not sure whether the 13.1.1 IOS update got it working possibly.

    We do understand that users did not have to use these particular settings previously, but this is a change in iOS that we must honor. This change was made in order to protect Apple users' privacy.

    And how are these new settings protecting Apple users' privacy? Now messages can be previewed over the shoulder when before all was shown was a contact name. Doesn't seem like the change is protecting privacy at all. This isn't a change that you must honor to Apple.  Apple isn't your customer. Garmin needs to contact Apple to either come up with a solution via Garmin Software update or an Apple Software update.

    I have a Fenix 5 Plus with an iPhone 11 with 13.1.1 IOS, and having the same issue.  Every notification possible but text messages show up. My iPhone 8 on the old software worked perfectly fine with my phone to show no preview.

    I tried all of the mentioned solutions, however without success. 

    Please help me? I am using an iPhone X plus iOS 13.1.1 in combination with the Fenix 6s sapphire.
