Vivofit doesn't sync with Connect Mobile - Sync Upload Error - please try again later

Hi,

Since a few days now my vivofit refuses to sync with my phone (HTC One M8), the syncing starts, and soon after ends with the error message "Sync Upload Error. Please try again later".

Prior to this I didn't have any problem syncing, and then all of a suddent this started happening. The phone "sees" the vivofit fine that I can tell, I tried to logout and log back into Connect. No change.

Any idea about how to solve this issue?

    I Have the same problem since two days. It not working when I try to sync with the computer and Garmin Express. The Data for yesterday is all mix up.

    Same problem - can we get some kind of response from Garmin at to what the problem seems to be, and when we can expect a solution?

    I have been trying to figure out what was wrong all day. Now I'm really frusturated with this thing!! First it wasn't and still isnt syncing with MyFitnessPal, now it's not even syncing with Garmin Connect! I also noticed a screen problem today on the lower left corner when using the activity tracker. Thinking if these problems continue I am returning it and shopping for a new device. I havve owned it for 2 1/2 weeks and have already had multiple issues. Anyone having frequent issues?

    I am having the same issue. It won't sync on my mobile app or laptop or with MyFitnessPal.

    I'm having the same issue with the vivofit through the android app and a server issue with syncing my forerunner 910XT through my computer....These are the first issue I have had with the devices, I'm assuming the issue is at Garmins end...please fix it soon...

    Got the same problem reason/error 500 when trying to sync.

    Still no word from Garmin support? This is unacceptable! Let us know what is going on !

    Currently Garmin is aware of problems with Garmin Express and Garmin Connect Mobile app syncing fitness device data with Garmin Connect. The Connect Servers are at the heart of the problem. It is being addressed and should be resolved later this evening or early tomorrow.

    I'm having the problem too (since morning of 4-Jan-2015). Errors are mainly "500", but sometimes a "504".

    Every now and then it will work, but then much of my day's data is gone (apparently forever). Many of the hours have 0 steps when they should have hundreds.
  • I recommend you stop trying until the current system issues have been confirmed resolved.
