Garmin Support have asked me to take screen video and Connect App logs.
I'll need to download video app to get a video illustrating error, they've given me code to send app logs. Hoping to get this done…
I found that if I clicked on the faulty flickering map, it opens it a new tab but its complete. Not as useful as the original, but OK for a temporary fix until Garmin provide a new version
Yes, got an update of the GC app today.... bug still there

I believe it has something to do with Android 14, because since the update I noticed this problem. The last update of the app did not helped.
For me, the problem persists even with the new app update. On the other hand, the notification problem seems to be fixed. Hope for the next update.
New GCM version landed today... Release notes mention "bug fixes"....
Guess what.. map issue is stil there.

Switched to a new phone today, and the map issue is solved on that device,
Same issue on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 for a few months, current Garmin Connect app version 5.71

Just received an email from Product Support...
We're following up on the report we received that when viewing maps of your activities in your Connect app, you were seeing visual distortion or apparent glitching on the map. We're pleased to report that this issue has been resolved with the 5.8 release of our Connect app, which is available now through your Google Plays Store. Please update your Connect app and you'll no longer experience this issue.
I tested with Garmin Connect 5.8. In my case, the issue has been resolved
Garmin support emailed me to say this is fixed on Connect 5.8. I am running 5.8 and Android 10 on Moto G8 plus - the fault is still exactly as previously described.

Just tested on Garmin Connect 5.8, Samsung Z Fold 5 - now map works both in folded and unfolded modes.
Finally some bug fixes from Garmin!
I also got this mail from support, telling me the problem should be resolved. But in my case, I still have the problem (Motorola Edge 40, Android 14).
