Activity map

The map on an activity overview no longer seems to work correctly. Seems to be constantly scaling (zoom in/out).

When calling the complete map, this is still working.

Garmin Support have asked me to take screen video and Connect App logs.

I'll need to download video app to get a video illustrating error, they've given me code to send app logs. Hoping to get this done…

I found that if I clicked on the faulty flickering map, it opens it a new tab but its complete. Not as useful as the original, but OK for a temporary fix until Garmin provide a new version

There have been a number of combinations of Android , Connect and phone manufacturer which get this problem.

You are the first to have a combination that works.

My own combo of Android 10 and Moto G8 Plus used to work , but it failed a while ago - presumably either an app or os update caused it..

Phone got upgrade to Android14 yesterday... GC problem still there.

Garmin Support: Thank you! I did find a report of this and our engineering is currently investigating. I am going to get this forum and your information added to that ticket. This will be linked to your email address so one of us will reach out to you as soon as we have an update on this issue.

Also NOT working on Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e T720 with Android 12 (?).
I made a video of the problem ...

Working fine on Samsung Note 9 and Samsung Note 10Plus.

If you contact support they can give yo a code which will enable you to upload video.

I did it successfully about 6/8 weeks ago.

Unfortunately , it would appear that sessions get mixed up and their system can drop connections and key words.

As a result things go down black holes, as we are discovering.

NOW YEARS ON THIS ISSUE ALONE

I have a problem with the map when I want to see an activity (any activity) in Garmin connect. It doesn't display properly.

Here is a screenshot of the glitch:

When I tap on it, the map appears in full screen and there is no problem here. It only happens in the reduced map.

This is a new phone and I didn't have this problem on my last phone. I tried to uninstall the app, to clear the cache, but so far, no luck.

Any advice? Thank you
