Film Testing Aug - Sep 2025

Hi all

its been a while, I hope you are all enjoying the summer & have got some great real world cycling in!

There is a new feature being added to the TacxApps that should be something much larger then the sum of its parts. In any case for now on our side you will notice oddly named stages with some very short ones often only a few kilometers long or less.  Please test these if you can! I expect someone from Tacx will, at some point, explain what's going on when the time is right to test.

We have filmed some stunning new locations: the rugged west coast of Ireland, the rolling Morvan hills, a revamped Alpine Tour with a refilmed Colle delle Finestre (on both gravel sides!), the picturesque Barolo vineyards in Italy, and a two-part ride through the Luberon in southern Provence. The ride library is absolutely stacked again! Some of these routes will have multiple stages and cover serious distance, so there’s plenty to explore.

To kick things off, I’m publishing a mix of regular stage-based rides, some of which will let you test the new feature once it’s live. You’ll spot these in the app—they’ll have a “J” in the version number. So, keep an eye out

  • v3 Morvan 6

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. BT. Morning's weight is 64,0 kg. Average power - 2.09 W/kg.

I was distracted, but everything looks good.
600 meters before the finish, when there was a turn to another road, the gradient could have been changed. But it is better to leave it as it is now - a smooth descent.

  • v5 Morvan 7 - Extended

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. BT. Morning's weight is 63.9 kg. Average power - 2.27 W/kg.

    Also very good!

  • v1 14b_Goats Peak Regional Park (Canada)
Strange gradient right there. Might want to verify data. Otherwise nice ride with very cool lake view.

  • v2 14a_Vernon to Kelowna City Park (Canada)

I would like to suggest 2 small improvements:
    - A bit after 6,15km there is rough transition while ascending. Maybe due to standstill, maybe not. In any case I would recommend smoothing it out a bit to prevent the sudden drop in resistance.
    - the climb in the middle is worthy of a KOM. More than a km and pretty steep.

  • v3 Morvan 8 - Extended - Moulins-Engilbert

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. BT. Morning's weight is 63.9 kg. Average power - 2.0 W/kg.

    All good!

    v5 Morvan 9 - Extended - Canal de Nivernais / First 24.51 km

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. BT. Morning's weight is 63.9 kg. Average power - 1.91 W/kg.

7.7 km from the start. Bridge before the canal. The road looks horizontal, and on the screen the gradient is 7%.
9.25 km. I would like the gradient to start about 50 m earlier.
11.65 km - gradient changes are normal.

  • v2 Morvan 21 - Short & v3 Morvan 23 - Short

    TDM - 100% / RFI - 100%. BT. Morning's weight is 64,3 kg. Average power - 2.05 W/kg.

    All OK!

I planned to finish Morvan 9, but the video did not load.
When I did from start - the video loaded.
