Hey, has anyone had any issues with their watch stopped Vibrating after updating to firmware 3.30? I've check the settings in the watch, checked the settings in the Garmon App on my phone and even completely power down all the way, and it still will not vibrate on notifications from my phone. It's worked perfectly fine until latest update 3.30. Can you downgrade firmware? Or anything else to try?

I have Vivoactive 3 music (SW version 3.60)... i faced the same issue , the device was not vibrating on getting notifications, the notifications were visible on the device...the cause in my case was that the DND (Settings > System) mode was turned on for the device. I have noticed it happens when i put my phone in DND mode while it is connected to the device. Also when the device battery is Low.
Hope this helps you as well.

My Vivoactive 3 Music stopped vibrating after a GPS-update some months ago. Tried a factory reset etc. Garmin support pretended that they had never heard of this problem and asked me to factory reset / reinstall firmware with Garmin Express, which isn't even possible. Then they wanted to replace it but I have been holding out for a firmware update with a fix, which seems to never come.

Now my watch died after a strange battery drain and I couldn't charge it for two days. After charging it vibration is working again! I did not change any setting and it did not update anything, I was at 3.60 already.

So if you have this problem, maybe you can try to let the watch discharge completely until it dies and then charge it again after a while.

I am finally able to report that since 3.60 with GPS update, my watch is now vibrating like it's suppose to. I have been testing since 3.60 and it was spotty until the GPS update came out after 3.60. Since then I have updated it with the beta and now 3.7 and it's still 100% working correctly...Big Thank You Garmin for fixing this feature.

My VA3 Music is still not vibrating even after the 3.7 update. This is a game changer for me being that I’m in surgery most of the day and need to feel my watch vibrate instead of having my phone in my hand. Since there’s no real solution besides returning it and getting something different, what have you guys/gals heard that would be comparable? Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.

The recent update got the Vibration Function to work again, then the Bluetooth Connection updates came through today which automatically installed itself and killed this vibration function again! The watch battery is useless, it is barely 2 months old and spends more time charging than on my wrist. Garmin International was committed to sending me a new watch then I was put onto Garmin Australia who wants to make the process as difficult as possible, asking me to supply all the checks, evidence, photos etc, then tell me to go through the Online Seller in order to get this resolve.

Same poor customer service as with Vector Power Meter and Edge Headunit. This will be my last Garmin product. Can't wait to get rid of this stuff.

STOP USING CUSTOMERS AS TEST GUINEA PIGS.

Yep...It did the same thing with 3.8 and now 3.9, It works fine at first when the update comes through, then at some point it will update the Bluetooth will update and then it kills the Vibration function. I know it's an software issue because it works fine when rebooting/powering on.

I just haven't said anything because what's the point, they have a poor Dev team and they won't fix it. I'm a software engineer and if we did what Garmin is doing, we wouldn't have a job. It's really sad that a company as big as Garmin would not take care of it's users that support it's company. ....Oh Well, I'm already looking at other company's smart watches.

Mine has the same issue. Worked right after the update and then after bluetooth update, it stopped working. Its really sad that garmin cant fix this. Between the elevation errors and the vibration not working this has caused me to not consider a garmin watch in the future. Everybody has bugs, but to just ignore the issues and not do anything is unacceptable.

So I have the same issue of my watch just stopped vibrating on notifications. I still receive notifications, but no vibrate. I've turned the watch off and on, I've turned my phone off an on. I've checked the setting both on the watch and in the app for notifications and everything is turned on. The vibrate function is turned on, on my watch. Do not disturb is turned off. My watch vibrates when I turn it on, but not with notifications. I've done a hard reset and back to factor settings and it still didn't work. I tested to see if an alarm would cause it to vibrate and it did nothing. I've only had this watch for 3.5 months. I was working fine until over the weekend it died and now it doesn't vibrate. I've missed called and notifications for work because of this not working. What else should I do???

Hi, I have just bought a second-hand Approach s60 and my experience is exactly the same as KhrisKirk: vibrate works for a few hours with notifications then nothing.  I also find that the Do Not Disturb toggle seems to turn itself back on by itself (although on the Controls menu it is still greyed out). Any advice please, Garmin or user community?

  • I have the same issue on my Vivoactive 3 Music, on Firmware 6.0.0 though. Already tried a factory reset and de- / recoupling with my phone, doesn't help at all.

I am a happy user of garmin products since many years. But I just bought the Vivoactive some days ago, the fact that already things are starting to break is annoying, to see that the problem is unsolved since over 2 years however really makes me regret buying the watch.
