Running Power!

Do you really have a foot pod or is it the pod that goes on the back of your shorts? If it’s on your foot then it’s the wrong sort of pod, you need the running dynamics pod instead.

Anyone know how to get the power CIQ data field into Sporttracks (PC version)? ST has native import capability for FIT but the CIQ field written to the FIT file causes an import problem. The workaround for now is to export a TCX file from GC for all the non-CIQ data.

Thanks, I didn't realize there was a difference. I have the foot pod, so I guess I will order either the running dynamics pod that clips onto your shorts or the HRM tri strap in order to get running with power working.

ST3 doesn't currently support import of FIT files that have CiQ data in them. You will need to upgrade to the SportTracks online platform for CiQ support - it works fine there.

Does anyone know how I turn "wind" on/off?

Did my first run last Sat with the HRM strap and Wind was On. Did a run tonight with the run dynamics POD and wind is now off!

In GC Mobile, Settings for both Running Power and Combo Running Power have the "Account for wind in power calculation" box ticked.

Garmin connect Web says for tonights run 0 Wind (1: Enabled, 0: Disabled) , whereas for Sat it says 1 Wind (1: Enabled, 0: Disabled)

That’s great to know. Be advised that OMB is saying the import of CIQ information is experimental so make sure you feedback any issues. He’s always been very responsive.

Interesting in that my phone is "always" connected to the watch, and wind appears in this mornings parkrun. Perhaps the iOS Bluetooth bug meant it didn't sync close enough to last nights run time?
