Spontaneous reboot of 735XT

since the software update to 3.10, I noticed spontaneous reboots of my 735XT. With this reboot, the HR history and step count from a couple of hours is lost. Yesterday, I did a 18 km run, the watch rebooted approx 2 hours after the run. My step count was then reported with 3600 steps. The watch widget with the HR history over the past 4 hours was reset; no previous data shown.

This morning, the same happened during breakfast. My watch was turned on about 1 hour before.

The reboot is indicated with a short beep. The Garmin logo is shown for 2-3 secs, followed by the time, i.e. Back to normal operations.

Has anyone else seen this?

    Reset does not help

    735xt keeps rebooting after a short time. The time is too short to do something meaningful in the menu...

    Can you explain how to do that? I mean I know about holding the power on button for 12 seconds or more. Is that the master reset?


    That is the hard reset. Have you tried that for this issue?

    Now stuck in diagnostic screen

    After resetting I now start up in diagnostics screen. The down arrow does not seem to work correctly/is stuck somehow so I end up in this screen every time. I am not sure if this was also the problem with rebooting. Is there any way to fix this down button or do I need to send it to garmin?

    Somebody else got stuck in there recently and had to get a replacement unfortunately.

    I've had this happen to me twice today during my run. The last few days I've noticed that navigating through the menus was slow and would sometimes lock up. Even the time on the watch face will freeze and get several minutes behind. I tried doing several hard resets prior to my run today.

    Reboot

    Mine did it today randomly when i tried to go for a run, when it booted up it went staight to the test sceens and i could not get out of them....very frustrating
    It finnaly went blank thirty minutes later and i touched the light button and itturned on and went back to operating but all the data had been lost....how doni keep this from happening again?

    Post your ERR_LOG.txt off of the 735 and post it here as an attachment. Then someone like Tim can send it on to Garmin

    Same Problem

    Bought it yesterday and the reboot happened several times with 2.20. Then updated to 3.20 and happened as well several times. Now it happens when navigating down from the HR widget to the Weather one.

    Should I consider it as a defective unit or firmware bug?


    I've just bought my fr235 for 2 days and got same problem

    Facing Same Issue Since Upgraded To V9.8, And Its Feels Pissed Off After The Step Count Reset To Zero... Just Non Sense It Is..
