Broken watch band mounts

Has anyone experienced this? My wife had the same problem with the Vivoactive 3 on two occasions and now with the 654M.

She works in a pharmacy so there is not much she can bang the watch on while at work and just takes long walks for exercise. I bought this for her July 15th and here we are, December, and I am dealing with another broken watch.

It is a good thing that Amazon is amazing since I was able to return it with no problems but good grief!

  • Take a look at this link: https://support.garmin.com/en-CA/?faq=fWW1dV4Y3O9RufIvQqEyG7 - Garmin offering a free 645 replacement due to lug breakage. I don't know if your country is listed, but I was able get a free replacement under this program. You contact Garmin, they send you a free shipping label, you send back your defective watch and when they receive, they send you a new one. Took about 1.5 to 2 weeks in total, if I remember correctly. Garmin's customer service is actually pretty good, they send replacement products very quickly. My next Garmin is probably going to be a FR265 since my 645 is getting close to 5 years old and I like the AMOLED screen of the FR265...my 645 is still working fine though. Just making decisions on moving to the next generation of fitness tracking watches.

  • Hi miwo76, I already contacted Garmin about my issue.  Apparently they want me to pay $175 CAD this time, I got a free replacement the first time it broke.  I glued it for now and it is holding good.  I'm looking to get the fr265 too in the future...

    thanks

    cheers and happy running.
