Edge 820 Live Track Autostart not working

Live Track Autostart not working

I've been using Autostart with LiveTrack for many months without problem. However, for no obvious reason it has suddenly stopped working. When I start a ride LiveTrack no longer automatically starts.

Starting LiveTrack manually works fine and I receive notifications from my phone on my 820 - all of which seems to eliminate any Bluetooth connectivity issues. Both phone (Android, Samsung S7 Edge) and 820 have the latest software installed.

Anyone had a similar issue, or, even better, know the cause and solution?

I have the same issue, however I am using the Edge 1030 with an iPhone 8 for connectivity to Strava Beacon.

The first couple of times I used my device it seemed to work OK, but now it only seems to work if I do a manual start.

I contacted Garmin Support who did eventually respond to advise me to update to the latest version (it already was) and to wipe my device and start from scratch (I did this and it made zero difference).

I've since responded to Garmin Support but they arent very fast with their responses sadly.

Here the same problem. Autostart was always working before.
Now i must go into the Garmin Connect app > Menu > LiveTrack.
The moment i'am in the LiveTrack screen, the LiveTrack starts. To be clear i do not press any button in the LiveTrack screen. (Autostart is already enabeld).

I thought it was only me with this issue. I already try with removing and reinstalling the app en renew the Bluetooth connection.
Nothing did work to resolve the problem.

Now i'am glad to read that others have the same issue with AutoStart and LiveTrack.

Me too. I work in software development and what I simply cannot fathom with Garmin is how what or if they test software. This problem is so repeatable. So testable. How is it not spotted?

From Garmin support in response to the ticket I logged.....

"The issue you are referring to is something that we are aware of and are working hard towards a resolution, however, we do not have a timeframe for this to be completed"

If you have not already done so delete or remove some of your activities that are stored on your Garmin. I have experienced similar type issues on a 510 and this has solved those issues.

Same issue here. I hope a fix will happen soon but don't hold your breath.
