Edge 520 not Communicating via Bluetooth with new Samsung Galaxy S10 (it worked with Galaxy S7)

> Garmin Connect mobile App says the Edge 520 is disconnected.

Troubleshooting, Actions Taken, Status

> Deleted Edge 520 from paired Bluetooth devices in phone.

> Deleted Samsung S10 from Bluetooth devices in Edge 520.

> Deleted Edge 520 from Garmin Connect mobile App.

> Deleted Garmin Connect mobile App from phone.

> Powered off and restarted Edge 520 and phone.

> Reinstalled Garmin Connect mobile App.

> Bluetooth pairing seems to work through the step of confirming the passcode.

> The phone shows it’s paired with the Edge 520.

> The Edge 520 shows the Galaxy S10 in the Bluetooth list, but it’s status is disconnected.

> Garmin Connect mobile App says the Edge 520 is disconnected.

I posted the exact same problem in a thread about 2 weeks ago. No answers. I'm experiencing the same exact thing and I went through the exact same procedure in order to try and get it to work. It still isn't fixed.

Any luck with a solution for the 520 communicating with your phone? There are no additional replies on my post.

My samsung s10 will not pair with my 520 plus either, just keeps stopping when trying to connect even though the device recognizes the phone. Had no problems with my Samsung s8

Still no luck. I've tried the list of procedures to go through in order to make this work and still nothing.

Finally got it to work. I tried the steps in the other thread 3 times. I'm not sure if that was exactly the cure, but after 3 times of removing and reinstalling everything it finally works.

Thanks El_Dorado_Mike! That process worked for my Edge 520 today. There was a Garmin Connect update for Android today - maybe that helped. After getting it working again, I cycled power on the 520 a couple of times and on my phone and the 520 reconnected OK each time. We'll see if it continues to work when I go for a ride this weekend.

Tried pairing my garmin again with my phone the other day and it worked first time. Not sure whether an update helped or just going through the normal process. Anyway thanks for the help, hopefully it will keep the connectivity.
