And please put the new GPS-Firmware next time in the Beta-Zip-File like you do it for the Fenix6-Beta-Tests.

  • I rode today a 75Km ride in the mountains with the new 9.68 beta and did not find any issues. Update went fine as well as the ride itself  Heart eyes.  I used Komoot for the route and i got o crashes or so

  • Will this work with the Bontrager version? And if not, how soon? Thanks!

  • after updating FW 9.10 --> 9.68 beta I was faced with issues connecting device via USB to PC (OS=Win10) ..

When plugged in to PC Edge started normally but instead of going into mass storage mode device allways went into shutdown.

Pressing combination  "lap/reset and start button" starts mass storage mode.

So I downgraded to FW 9.10

Anybody similar experiances with mass storage mode??...

  • One problem I immediately notice is that after copying the 9.68 beta gupdate.gcd to the 1030 and allowing the 1030 to update, when I now connect the 1030 to my PC via USB, it powers up, goes through the normal loading process, gets to the home screen, starts to transfer to mass storage mode, and then just powers off. While still connected to the PC, a short press of the power button doesn't power the 1030 up as it should. Long-pressing the power button to force a reboot while still connected just results in the unit booting up and then powering down again when transferring to mass storage mode.

The 1030 still seems to function normally when not connected via USB. However, it now seems that I'm totally stuck on this beta. Even if I wanted to go back to 9.50 or an earlier version, there's no way to get the necessary gupdate.gcd file onto the unit, as there's no way to get it to mass storage mode.

  • You could try this Nik it was a bit trial & error but I eventually managed to roll back from 9.66 which was doing similar

  • Hi AuldNik,

press Lap/Reset and Startbutton at the same time, keep on holding Lap/Reset until device starts up in mass storage mode..

Suggest to copy all relevant fit-files for backup purpose before downgrading to 9.10 or others.

  • No issue , try other USB cable or diffrent port

  • Currently on GPS Firmware 2.51.  Any indication on what is SUPPOSED to be showing ?    That really should be documented.  :)

  • ,

I tried  several USB cable and different Ports, no chance.to connect.

FW 9.10 seems to be more reliable to me. USB connection worked at once.
