How long to actually ship

Ordered as soon as it was possible on the 21st May, at 0830 UTC+1

It said "read to ship in 1-3 days".

It is past that now. What are you experiences of it actually shipping.

  • I contacted UK support again today - they confirmed they currently don't have stock and that the quoted 1-3 business days currently displayed on the website (and at the time I ordered) is a 'mistake'

  • That is really interesting because yesterday UK support told me that my order would be shipped later that day. It was not and it seems that what I was told was just to get rid of me even though he knew, because they don't have it in stock, ,what he told me was not true.

  • I’m in the USA. A label was created for the order I placed on the 24th and it will be picked up by UPS today. Processing took one business day. 

  • Update: I called the (German) support today, they told me that the watch is currently not in stock but will be sent in approximately 1-2 Weeks. The estimated delivery date on the website was wrong...

    So I cancelled my order, drove to a local sports retailer and bought it offline. (Intersport in Austria, they got the watches today)

    It's really nice and a big upgrade to my FR955. But Garmin should get better at shipping... I

  • Ordered the 21st at 0830. 
    “1-3 days to ship”

    got a notification this morning that it’s awaiting pickup. 

    so nine days instead of 1-3

    and they use crappy shipping so won’t arrive until the 6th June. 

  • UK - I received my 970 yesterday (Thursday 29th) so the quoted 1-3 business days on Garmin's own site was actually over double at 7 business days. I'm not impressed with the whole ordering/shipping process and the Garmin customer service has been pretty dire

  • I take it back. 

    Still not shipped. 

    Two weeks in the morning. No watch. Money gone a week. Not on Garmin. 

  • Belgium - same situation (even worse). Ordered on May 21st, no news for several days. Asked support, it was finally set to "shipped" on May 30th. But since then it's stuck in "Awaiting pickup from courier". I seriously doubt that any serious shipping company takes more than 4 days to pickup a parcel. And on the site it still says "shipped in 1-3 days".... Defintely a bad experience, no communication, no clarity, nothing. Next time I will wait until items are available through other resellers, or change brand altogether
