UK – Same situation here:
I placed my order before 9:30am on the 21st. The site clearly stated my order would be “ready to ship in 1–3 business days”, but as of today it still shows as “not shipped…
Ordered the 21st at 0830.
“1-3 days to ship”
got a notification this morning that it’s awaiting pickup.
so nine days instead of 1-3
and they use crappy shipping so won’t arrive until the…

I placed my order before 9:30am on the 21st. The site clearly stated my order would be “ready to ship in 1–3 business days”, but as of today it still shows as “not shipped” on Garmin’s order status page.
I contacted customer support this morning and chatted with two different agents. Unfortunately, it was a pretty disappointing experience. It seems they don’t actually have any stock at the moment.
“We cannot ship until we have stock. Once we have the stock it will be shipped, which is soon. I cannot give you specific dates.”
“…but what I can tell you is stock is expected in the beginning of June, so the wait won’t be too long.”
I raised the issue that the website is still advertising “ready to ship in 1–3 business days” for new orders, which seems misleading if they don’t expect stock until June.
The only options offered were to either wait or cancel the order. I asked about making a complaint, and while they said I could email one, they weren’t able to provide an actual email address to send it to. Really poor customer experience overall.
I placed my order on the morning of 21st after having phoned Garmin UK to ask if they had the watch in stock. I was told that they did and so went ahead with my order. I'm still waiting for it to be shipped. I now wonder if they were being truthful about it being in stock. If they were, why have they not shipped it?
From my conversation with customer services this morning, I'd say the Garmin website is extremely misleading. It looks to me like they are advertising that 1-3 business days based on some estimated forecast of demand, not their actual/physical stock levels and it looks like the website doesn't reflect actual stock levels (else they wouldn't be offering 1-3 days today in May when they know they're not expecting stock to June).
I have just phoned Garmin support and was not told that there was a stock problem. He said that UPS made their collection between 4:30 and 5:00pm. and that my order will probably be picked up today. He told me that I should get an email confirming shipping soon after. Time will tell.
Has your order status changed? It’s gone past 5pm here and I’ve not had any emails from UPS and my order still isn’t showing as shipped…
It is gone 6pm and nothing has changed. What a surprise!
Support replied a few hours ago that my watches would be back in stock after May 30, and only today they charged my card (I make order on 21 May). To be honest, I'm really disappointed with this kind of service.
My credit card was only billed today as well. Support told me this evening that my order is being processed and will ship this week. Let’s see
