Weather Widget on Watch Showing Wrong Location

Hi,

I am currently at a loss. I have looked through everything I can find, but nothing is solving my issue. I am looking at the weather on my watch, but it is telling me it is the weather for Sheffield...I am in Wales. I have Bluetooth on and Garmin Connect open, I am sharing my location and I have been connected for jut over an hour and nothing has changed. 

I have rebooted my iPhone and my watch, I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, nothing. 

Is there anything else I can try? I have also tried getting a GPS lock with the watch...still nothing. 

I am on 4.19 could this be a bug?

    Unfortunately, not all global locations are going to have a weather station that we'll get reports from. Sometimes only the nearest weather station in another city is all we can access.

    Same here, it takes a weather station from a small town 40km away, while the next city is just about 5km away. No clue why. I can even find that city on Garmin Connect, but it just stays with that small town. Just display the phone's weather widget location, that would absolutely do it for me.

    In my case Garmin receives the weather data from an airport in the same rather small town in Austria. Only the actual temperature is correct. All the others are fault by far. And when i'm at my home place just 5 km apart, it takes the data from a near mountain at 2.400m. Again, just the actual temperature is correct. But in this case from the peak of that mountain. So no data is usable. And when I set the phone to the location of the airport it shows the same wrong data beside the actual temperatur in town.

    All settings are made appropriatly. Same on other Garmin watches of mine. I addressed this to Garmin a couple of times. Nothing changed. But The German support took it seriously recently. I sent them a whole lot of special data in order to sent it to Garmin US. 

    And by the way: other apps of GCIQ give good data and forecasts.

    All, 

    If you're using a fixed location, but the app is still using a weather source that's significantly far away- may I have permission to reach you via email? As a workaround, try using the postal code of closer weather sources.

    How come my Fenix 7x shows correct weather location and the Forerunner 965 of an airport 30km away? Same settings on both.

    I’m having the same issue. I’ve set a fixed location, also tried the phone location, powered on and off the phone and watch. What is strange is that the location the watch has chosen is Izana in Spain, but I’m currently in Tenerife the Canary Islands!  When I scroll through the weather readings on my watch it shows a map with my correct location on Tenerife. Mystery

    The same thing is happening to me. I'm setting up my city (Montreal, Canada) and a small town is appearing (more than 250 km away).

    It doesn't make any sense.
