Since last software version update some 2 weeks ago or so, there are random reboots of device without following a clear pattern.
By touching the touchscreen or pressing a button.
We have a fix for this issue in the 27.09 software bundle, which is currently available. Updating your watch to this version should solve this issue.
If you install the latest software and are still experiencing…
I updated my software to 26.08, and since then I have had 2 crashes with reboots during swim workouts. In both cases I was using drill mode and pressed the lap button to conclude, whereby it froze and…

I had done this after advice from a support chat and it worked well for my first two swims after that. I had then restarted the watch (because I thought the touch screen wasn't working right) and the very next swim, same crash! So this reset suggestion is not a permanent fix.

A workaround for drills I found is to limit your drills to less the 3 minutes. Basically every 100 yards end the drill, then start it again for the next 100 (or approx 2 - 2.5 minutes).
When I use the swimming pool mode for over 30 minutes, the watch sometimes restarts and the activity record is lost.
I also noticed that if I use pool swim mode for more than 30 minutes and then press the pause or lap button, the watch may immediately restart. I can reproduce this issue about 2 out of 5 times.
Yep, since an update a few weeks ago (before the holidays), I've had 3 or 4 successive swim activities just end within 5-15min of their start. I didn't push any buttons (i.e. drills), just let it record as usual. Never had problems like this before this update. Garmin, fix this ASAP and release an update! We pay a lot of money for these devices and I use it 95% for swimming - so this failure is catastrophic. At least provide a sense when a fix is coming?!
