21.19* - Only partly updated?

Support has approved a replacement... But before that I'll give it another go, trying to find some update files that can be removed. There are some files in remotesw folder, but they reappear if deleted, after connection with express, will try wifi only this time.

Any other folder that could host updates?

I only have the RemoteSW folder. I couldn't delete this, but I could delete the contents.
In this folder there were 2 current zip files and 1 old GCD file. These were deleted.
After that, no updates were found via Express. Express says everything is up to date.
The RemoteSW folder is still empty.
The software was then reinstalled using the new function (8x light button), with the error message that updates failed and other updates were installed.
The RemoteSW folder now contains 2 current zip files again, but not one GCD file.
The WHR and BMX sensors and the Sensor Hub Controller were not updated again.
Express says again that everything is up to date!?

What did the support answer? Normally they only exchange the watch if it is irreparable. Regarding the warranty, how old is the watch?

I just sent them the link to this discussion, then I got some things to try including factory reset but it didn't help. Watch is 2,5 years but in Sweden there's three years of warranty from Garmin.

Okay, that might answer the question of whether this can or will be fixed with a software update.

Joined the watch to the beta program today and installed 21.20, but nothing changed, except that software version now reads 21.20*.

So will send this watch in after the holidays.

Updates tend only to send out the bits that have changed, not the whole suite of software components on the device.

It's a pity that Garmin don't provide complete downloadable firmwares in the same way as they do for the Outdoor Recreation watches, only over-the-air delta updates.
