Random freezing

Definitely not me and many others who are quiet.

You only read posts from those who are experiencing this issue.

That must tell you the issue exist.

I know there is an issue.

I am saying this issue may not be related to FW. Try another 955.

Garmin contacted me and asked for a video and folder transfer and now I'll wait for the next step, but nothing has happened.

If they think that is the HW issue  Garmin should tell us to claim for warranty.

This appears to be an overheating issue as far as I can tell, as my 955 Solar freezes in the following situations:

• When facing the sun directly for more than a few minutes (ironically, being the Solar version),
• When taking a hot shower,
• Often while charging, but never if the battery level is already above 90%,
• While sleeping if my arm is under the covers.

Regardless what time it actually freezes, I usually lose most of the data gathered since the last time I synced with the Garmin Connect mobile app. This sometimes means losing a few thousand recorded steps, or not getting any HRV tracking while sleeping. The battery drain during that frozen period is usually significantly higher than during normal operation.

The solution is to either wait, or run some cold water over it for a minute, then doing a reset (hold power button for 15+ seconds), then briefly connect to a power source. Sometimes it takes multiple attempts to turn it back on, but it does still take a charge from the power source while trying to resurrect it.

I got mine at the end of October 2022 and started noticing this about a month later.

Why don't you return watch to Garmin ? Let them investigate the watch.
