There's something fishy with the way Connect displays activities. Almost like it's undersampling the points just to display faster. I did a run and that track is extremely detailed in Connect in…
here is my last ride in Garmin Connect and on Strava (from same FIT file), as You see , the Connect track is awful jaggy due to displaying limitation, the Strava ones is perfect, as the 3rd one too.
I mean, there's a difference between a plot and the gps itself...
At most the recordings are every second and who knows, maybe plotting is processed some other way. It's mountainbiking and speed is…
Yes, indeed!
Somehow strava "rounds up" the track.
Now I see that I've lost all suunto tracks. Seems that moveslink was deleted in January :((
I remember that ambit1 was crazy accurate.
So far I have down a couple of activities while wearing both the 935 and the 955 in opposite wrists. The 955 far out performs in the GPS accuracy.
Track clips from Garmin 935:
GPS plus GLONASS. Battery went from 99% to 92%

All systems plus Multi frequency. Battery went from 78% to 72%.

with the 955 you can actually tell what I did even when I went around the interior of a covered pavilion. The tracks overlayed precisely. With the 935 it was just a mess.

Guess this settle the doubts

i continue to be truly impressed with the 955's tracks. and i'm actually just using "All Satellites." i feel its a huge step forward from my 935 and 945LTE and is consuming only about 3%/hour.
i look forward to your comparison. none of my runs are thickly forested so All Satellites has been more than sufficient. (yet the 935 and 945LTE struggled mightily with either GPS only or GPS+GLONASS/Gallileo in these light tree cover portions of my runs.
Not very old watch and we are already seeing new features in other watches :P Interesting to see will we get the satellite iq :)
What? Mode that switches with some IQ which GPS mode it should be using.

as much as i complain about a lot of bugs with the watch, i continue to be impressed with the GPS. i've settled into using All Satellites as it seems more than good enough even under the tree covered places i run. today i did a few laps around the track and wanted to see how well it did with tracking with respect to lanes. i started off in the outer lane then rain the remaining 8 laps on the inner lane. here is the track on Strava:
