Native Power

Is it too hard to implement such function since Garmin already have it on Edge family? If so, why even small companies such Coros provide it their clients?

It was a FR935 request more than 4 years ago. FOUR years!

I do believe that Premium Product buyers desert a bit more from Garmin, honestly.

  • What I mean is that, we know the power numbers are different, as they are calculated differently (Polar I think are much higher than Stryd etc...) but if we are aware of that and we base our training, on our numbers, our training (if based on % of FTP) then everything would work with the Garmin.

But I do get your point, maybe for Garmin its minefield of confusion they just aren't interested in dealing with perhaps.

  • It is effectively voodoo as there is nothing being directly measured. It's a metric that is being estimated from external factors.

The same thing applies for many of the metrics you see on your watch., even your most basic ones like heart rate.

  • There will always be people dissatisfied with the implementation of a feature, I'm not sure that's an argument for not adding it.

  • There will, but as there was mention that it doesn't matter it will matter to some users and how big is that group don't know and the will that matter to Garmin as it's not really scientific proven that the watts should be this and that.

It wasn't argument not to add it, it was comment why Garmin might see otherwise and in these four years haven't implemented it. Random CIQ app is must more external even if it's from Garmin.
