Hello guys, so I'm thinking buying a Forerunner 945 but I also would like to wait for 955 if is coming out soon. Does anyone know when is it coming out? Thank you.

Might be a good idea to stop releasing myriads of "new" watches every now and then, between Enduro, Fenix, Forerunner, etc... etc... Perhaps Garmin should concentrate on a more limited but more solid number…
Please, fortunated ones, try all the latest, and if it's disappointing, put it up for sale for half the price. ;-)
After buying the 945 at launch week I will wait to upgrade it.
How long would you wait to buy the 955 and how would you know if it was ready for your standards? You can't go by the forum…
Only speculation here. Those that do know are under an NDA. Garmin does not disclose this unless inadvertently leaked.
Those who know, can't tell. Others can just guess. My guess is in next month.
And there's already post about it: https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-945/215497/garmin-forerunner-955-status

After buying the 945 at launch week I will wait to upgrade it. The 935 has better accuracy and the 945 had button issues (among others). The 955 hopefully will be better than the 945 but I won't be Garmin's guinea pig (at least not paying to be one this time)

How long would you wait to buy the 955 and how would you know if it was ready for your standards? You can't go by the forum's because every device Garmin has released has gripes and bitches. Just look at the 935 forum. People are still buying them today, but if you read it's forum the watch is a mess.
They all seem to have teething problems in the first year of release, mostly software but can also be hardware-related. I think I waited 3 or 4 months after launch to buy a 945. Garmin were very good with replacing when it developed the button problem.
After the FR645M garbage never again a new Garmin, it takes at least a year to get SW to work and discover the HW problems, plus as soon as they come out the products have crazy prices. Now I have a 945 and even if it does not have the Fenix news, it is stable and offers me all the necessary data for my needs at an appropriate price for the product.
