Tested on 1000m pool swim. Approx 5-7bpm down on HRM-SWIM that i usually use.
Interestingly it will looks for an external HRM when saving, you have to wait till it says "do you want to save without a HRM…
Just tested today for a 3000m , it seems quite reliable... next time i'll compare to my Polar OH-1 that it's almost identical to HRM-Swim
well if that means I can get at least some kind of load even if not really correct ... better than 0 ? we'll see
when using ORH while running I found that either it works completely normally or it doesn't work at all and show some stupid numbers like 220bpm while doing nothing because sweat accumulated between the watch and my wrist.
I compared this swim with other swims I did with my HRM swim and tri and can say the numbers are accurate.
This is most helpful, regardless of the haters on here. I use it on my AW4 to determine how hard I'm pushing myself. it's not very accurate, but it's a form of measurement and helps determine calories burned. Also use it for water fitness. This is an important feature.

At least I'm not using it and I'm interested in how accurate it is. Seems that the jury is still out and initial comments suggests that it's really big YMMV.

Explain how? How is it possible an inaccurate measurement helps determine calories burned in any way? OK, I did a 30 min swim with inaccurate HR. It said I burned 200 calories. Was it really 250? 150? 175? 350? It doesn't matter because it helped!(???) Again, how did this help you in any way?
Because I am interested. Because I will be testing it as soon as I can get to a pool.
However, unless I know the data I collect is accurate and reliable, I will not continue to use it in the vain hope that I'll get some inaccurate data that seems alright but in reality is no better than having no data.
At this point in time, nobody has reported any information that indicates the validity or the reliability of the data. How about actually getting to see some comparative data? Anybody care to post a number of sets of comparative data?
